Golfing Equipment Insurance - Cover against theft, loss and damage
Many golfers spend a significant amount of money on golf equipment, and statistics show that millions of euros of golf equipment are stolen every year. With the increase in golf holidays to other countries, it's also become increasingly common for golf equipment to be damaged or lost in transit when travelling by plane. What many people aren't aware of is that most normal household insurance policies exclude sports equipment cover - so if your golf clubs are stolen, lost, or damaged, you won't be compensated. It is therefore advisable to have adequate add-on insurance to ensure you receive financial compensation if you're unfortunate enough to become a victim of theft, club loss, or damage.
Our golfing equipment cover includes the replacement of your golf equipment on a new for old basis if items are lost, damaged, or stolen. Equipment that's more than three years old will be replaced at intrinsic value, which is calculated as being the true market value of that item.
GOLFPLAN's golf equipment cover is available in three levels according to the value of the equipment you're insuring. With our Bogey, Par and Birdie policies, you'll have insurance against theft, damage, or loss when you're abroad, so you can go on your golf holiday abroad safe in the knowledge that you're financially covered if anything goes wrong. If you're not travelling abroad, our policies are evenly effective, providing excellent value of golf insurance for the Czech Republic.
Personal Liability Insurance Cover
Surveys estimate that over 50 thousand people play golf throughout the Czech Republic, with the number increasing every year. As the game gains greater popularity there are more and more people out on the golf courses, meaning your chances of injuring someone else while playing unfortunately increases annually.
It is therefore highly recommended that you take our specialist golf insurance cover to offset the financial implications should this happen to you.
With our personal liability insurance coverage, you will be financially covered for up to CZK 60 million in the event of accidentally injuring another party. This includes playing golf at any recognised golf club, golf course, or driving range. Our golf insurance policy also covers the costs of repairing any damage caused to the property by an accidental wild shot.
GOLFPLAN's golf insurance policies are available in three types not depending on the country you'll be playing in. Our great value Bogey, Par and Birdie policies cover you for play in the Czech Republic and for play overseas as well, either just throughout Europe or anywhere in the world.
Personal Accident Insurance
A golf ball is an extremely hard object, and when it's travelling at high speeds can result in serious injuries if it hits another golfer, or someone else's property. Most household insurances do not include cover for personal accident injuries sustained while playing sports such as golf. Most people are not aware of this.
Our personal accident insurance cover protects you for up to CZK 1,500,000 against costs incurred should you sustain a serious injury on the golf course. Our golf insurance cover will provide compensation in the event of death or injury, and will provide hospitalisation benefits to cover all medical costs if you need to be treated in hospital. Our cover also allows you to claim financial compensation if you're not able to engage in any gainful employment as a result of your injury.
We have three different personal accident policies available, ranging from an annual price of CZK 1,300 to CZK 2,100. These policies offer varying levels of golf insurance cover not depending on where you'll be playing. Our Bogey, Par and Birdie policies insure you on Czech golf courses and on golf courses abroad - essential if you're planning on taking a golf holiday.
Golf Club Subscription Reimbursement
Golf can be an expensive sport. Besides the cost of equipment such as clubs, golf transport vehicles, and clothing, there are extra expenses such as joining a golf club. The joining cost is certainly worthwhile if you consider the benefits you'll receive: you can play whenever you want, you don't have to book in advance for a round, and you won't have to pay highly inflated fees on the day. Nevertheless, annual membership fees for a golf club can be a significant financial investment.
The problem with golf subscription fees though is that most clubs will not reimburse you if you are unable to play for the remainder of the year. For example, if you are injured or are taken ill and are unable to play for the rest of the year, your annual subscription fee becomes a sunk cost that cannot be recovered.
To protect yourself against these risks, our loss of club subscription insurance will reimburse you up to CZK 30,000 towards the cost of your annual subscription fees if you are unable to play as a result of injury, illness, or certain other circumstances.
Getting hit in the mouth by a golf club or golf ball can be at best unpleasant and painful, at worst, result in a serious injury requiring medical or dental work. What most people are not aware of is that many dental insurance plans will not cover you financially for a dental-related accident if you're playing a sport. So if you're hit in the mouth by a golf club while playing a game you could be financially responsible for any resulting dental expenses.
To prevent this from happening, GOLFPLAN offers a personal golf dental insurance policy to cover you against emergency dental expenses occurring as a result of a direct blow by a golf club while on any golf course, both locally and abroad. We'll cover you for up to CZK 10,500 towards dental work such as x-rays, fillings, caps, and other dental procedures if you sustain an injury to your mouth and teeth.
If you sustain a serious injury on the golf course, you will be compensated 600 CZK per a day if you are admitted to hospital as an in-patient for a period over 24 hours.
Golf Equipment Hire
In recent years and especially in the last decade, the trend has moved towards combining holidays abroad with playing golf. For many people, a golf trip overseas means you can relax in beautiful surroundings with lovely weather, soaking up a new culture while, most importantly, enjoying your favourite game of golf. Travel can be unpredictable though, and especially if you're travelling by plane you face an increased risk of the loss or theft of your golf equipment.
If you are unfortunate enough to have your golf clubs stolen or lost while you're travelling abroad, you will either have to borrow other clubs, quickly purchase new ones, or not play golf at all. Our golf equipment insurance means that if your golf equipment is lost or delayed in transit, we'll cover you for up to CZK 6,000 towards the costs of golf equipment hire of replacement clubs. This means that you can still play golf abroad at no extra expense, even if you can't use your own clubs.
Tournament Entry Fees
GOLFPLAN offers cover for tournament entry fees due to unforeseen illness or accidental injury up to 14 days prior.
Hole In One Insurance
Although scoring a golf hole-in-one is an exhilarating experience, and a guaranteed high point in any golfer's game, the downside is that at most golf clubs you'll be required to pay for a round of drinks at the clubhouse if you're lucky enough to score one!
At GOLFPLAN our golf hole-in-one insurance offers the very best rates - hole-in-one insurance with us will cover you for up to CZK 6,000 towards the drinks bill should you score that famous shot. Although not as critical as insurance for other eventualities such as theft, loss or damage to your golfing equipment, our insurance can certainly ease the burden if you're required to spend several thousand CZK on a round of drinks.
We have three different policies available: Bogey, Par and Birdie policies cover you in the Czech Republic and while playing abroad - either just in Europe or anywhere in the world.
